At Casa do Valle we are doing our utmost to ensure that we provide a healthy, clean, and comfortable environment both for our guests and our team.

Portugal has defined special procedures for tourism companies that prevent the spreading of COVID-19. Companies that comply, receive the “Clean and Safe” certification.  Casa do Valle has the Clean and Safe certificate.

We have checked and revised all our procedures and routines, so that they are in accordance with the certification – and our entire team has received training on the virus and the new policies.

Here are some of the changes we’ve made:

• Our check-in and check-out procedures can be done on-line
• Hand-sanitizing gel is available at the entrances and various parts of the property
• Our cleaning staff will be wearing protective gear while cleaning the rooms, and the receptionists will use masks / visors
• The temperature of our staff is taken daily as they come to work
• There are masks and gloves available for clients as well
• We have added new disinfecting products that are effective against viruses. And staying true to our green values, all products are environmentally friendly
• Our service providers and partners also have the ‘Clean and Safe’ or equivalent certification
• The rooms and other inside spaces have been equipped with air purifiers to ensure clean, bacteria and virus free air inside rooms
• The pool area, lounge chairs, common outside furniture and railings are cleaned and disinfected regularly
• Whilst the configuration of our property naturally lends itself for social distancing from others (every room has its own outside door space and furniture, and our large garden has nooks and corners that allows guests to relax – while observing social distancing), we have created more separate spaces in our gardens for our guests to relax in, with social distancing in mind
• We will also continue to equip you with information and maps on how to explore Sintra and the surrounding Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, and we will make recommendations how you can do this avoiding the crowds.
